FaMED Exam Fee, Booking and Results: What Is Verified in 2026

The official FaMed FAQ currently lists the human-medicine exam fee as €530. This is the exam provider's fee, separate from any FaMED Prep book or app purchase. Check the amount and conditions in the official booking before paying.

Build your own budget

Start with the exam fee, then request actual prices for any travel, accommodation, translations, language certificates and preparation resources you need. These costs differ by person. There is no verified all-inclusive budget here, and we cannot promise that every expense is tax-deductible.

The FAQ lists Mainz, Kassel and Nürnberg. Check the address in your booking confirmation. Do not assume another city is a current exam centre because an old article names it.

Book against live availability

Use the official booking page. No universal six-to-eight-week registration window, monthly testing frequency or guaranteed waiting period was verified. Choose a real available date and read the conditions for that booking.

The provider's FAQ requires a B2 certificate upload for Rheinland-Pfalz registration. This does not establish an identical upload rule for every route. First check recognition in your destination state and the documents required by your authority.

Results and passing requirements

The results page gives a usual processing period of two to four weeks; the FAQ says approximately four weeks. Treat this as guidance, not a guaranteed delivery date. Results arrive by email, with a successful digital certificate sent separately.

Each of the three stations requires at least 60%. A stronger station cannot compensate for one below that threshold.

We have not verified a public cohort dataset supporting a first-attempt pass rate, a retake percentage or a claimed success rate for our preparation materials. A personal result cannot be predicted from an invented statistic.

Check cancellation terms before paying

The provider FAQ contains conflicting cancellation-fee figures. Follow the current terms attached to your booking and obtain clarification from the provider where they conflict. Do not budget using an old blog's cancellation amount.
