Before booking FaMed, identify the authority responsible for your human-medicine licensing application. The exam centre's location does not determine whether that authority accepts the certificate.
The provider recognition overview remains labelled November 2025. Reading it in October 2026 does not turn it into a new 2026 policy. We distinguish provider statements from authority evidence below.
What the primary sources support

| Rheinland-Pfalz | The LSJV authority page explicitly lists FaMed as a human-medicine FSP option. Check the rest of your application requirements. |
| Bayern | The provider lists general human-medicine acceptance. Current Bavarian authority pages direct foreign-qualification applications to Oberbayern/ZAABY. Check its current requirements; older Unterfranken FAQs are historical evidence, not current routing instructions. |
| Baden-Württemberg | Its authority currently names FaMed taken after 13 May 2024, provided the certificate accompanies the initial application and the exam is recognised in another state. A copy is sufficient for this proof. Later private certificates are not accepted under that procedure. |
| Hessen | Acceptance depends on the qualification route. The EU/EWR/Swiss authority leaflet names digiFORT, while associated documents are not fully consistent. Do not infer unconditional acceptance for every applicant or decide this by passport nationality. |
| Saarland, Thüringen, Sachsen-Anhalt | The provider's dated overview describes individual authority decisions. That is not a guarantee for a particular application. |
| Other states | This review does not establish acceptance or rejection. Use the responsible authority's current requirements. |
For detailed Baden-Württemberg conditions, use the authority language FAQ. Its fee range for chamber examinations is not the FaMed fee.
Ask about your actual application
Use the current provider/issuer name from your intended booking. Do not describe LMU as the organisation currently conducting your appointment.
A possible enquiry, where the authority accepts case enquiries:
Ich beantrage die Approbation in der Humanmedizin. Mein Ausbildungsabschluss stammt aus [Land]; mein Aktenzeichen lautet [falls vorhanden]. Ich plane den Fachsprachennachweis über FaMed/digiFORT. Welche Voraussetzungen gelten in meinem Verfahren für Anerkennung, Prüfungsdatum, Aussteller und Zeitpunkt der Vorlage?
Attach or provide documents only through the authority's stated process. Some authorities do not answer hypothetical provider enquiries; read their published requirements first.
Passing a language exam is not a licence
FaMed can satisfy an accepted language requirement. It does not itself grant Approbation or Berufserlaubnis. These are different permissions, and a Berufserlaubnis may carry restrictions.
